Message: Frank Latimer and Kathy Slack were extremely helpful in helping my family buy our first home 2 years ago, and we are very happy with our purchase; but I must stress the importance of being knowledgeable about the homebuying process - especially in an aggressive housing market like Nashville, TN over the past 5 years. My advice to 1st time homebuyers: Give them what they ask for right now. Have all of your documents in order before they ask for them. If you don't know what they want, take their affordable 1st time homebuyers course. You will be able to buy a home of your choice, with a mortgage rate and payment that you can afford, AND a plan to pay it off early if you work with Affordable Housing Resources.
